BaZi Rules (Notes)
Strength
of an element comes from
The season (i.e. water is strong in
Autumn and prosperous in Winter)
Rooting (when a stem element matches
a branch element it becomes strong enough to handle the interactions from
combinations)
Resource support (a branch’s main qi being the
resource element for a stem), or
Strength and quality are the same. If
an element is ‘weak’ it is also of poor quality.
One ‘uses’ an element by associating
oneself with its attributes. (As described in photos)
Favourable and Unfavourable Elements
Are based on whether the Day Master
is truly strong or weak, alongside the idea of a well-balanced chart. A
well-balanced chart doesn’t have too much or too little of an element, so if
there’s a very strong ‘favourable’ element, it is actually not that favourable
because it is too strong. The key is balance.
Strong
Day Masters
Output, Influence and Wealth elements
are favourable; Resource and Companion are unfavourable
Weak
Day Masters
Resource and Companion elements are favourable; Output, Influence, and Wealth are unfavourable
Useful
God (The Balancer)
If the chart is ‘hot’ (in summer/spring
with a strong fire presence), then a water element would be the useful god. If
the chart is ‘cold’ (in winter/autumn with a strong water presence), then a fire
element would be the useful god.

What does the term "Rooting" refer to?
ReplyDeleteRooting refers to the same element being shared between an earthly stem and a heavenly branch.
ReplyDeletehi can you please help me with my chart, August 9, 1998 12:30 pm , i have clashes, and i dont know if i am weak or strong or a special chart, my geng metal in the month is pure strong and rooted, i am a yang earth daymaster, born in the shen month, i have lots of rooted earth, can you please interpret my chart.
ReplyDeleteYou are a strong Wu- Yang Earth type as your day master is rooted in Shen and Yin, there are fire resource elements from Wu and Yin, and there are 3 Wu- Yang Earth stems present.
ReplyDeleteYour luckiest elements are going to be Yi- Yin Wood, which for your case offers a supplement for subtle positive change and intuition; and Xin- Yin Metal, which gives you a supplement for versatility. I'd add Ding- Yin Fire as a lucky element as well, since it adds a comforting support and needs to counter some of that abundantly awkward Bing- Yang Fire in your chart that might push you towards incompatible life choices.
Naturally your chart indicates that you are more prone to feel strong inspiration towards a hobby, something that you could work on for hours without pay as opposed to being a quick-learner type. You're more of a specialist towards something you love. (This is from your strong Geng- Yang Metal, and lack of Xin- Yin Metal)
You are prone to be a good worker who tends to get random spouts of good fortune relatively often, but these are unpredictable and random.
The chart also indicates that you tend to go through periods of forced positive change and awkwardness.
BaZi can be rather all-encompassing and vague... if you are interested in more specific Destiny readings, Zi Wei Dou Shu is thought to be unusually precise at it.
Hi, is there anyone who can inteprete my chart.
ReplyDeleteMy day master is Xin (Yin Metal)
I was born in 23rd of March 1987 at 11.02am.

ReplyDeleteYou need to identify first whether you are male or female as polarity is very important too.
