* Lucky elements are specific elements that never touch the U category for each animal's element. For example, the Rat's graph never shows Jia or Bing under any of the U categories U1-3. This tells us that these elements are specifically lucky for the Rat. To go even further we can look up what these element's effects are on the Rat. The first lucky element Jia is under L2, L5, and L3 which means that Jia, yang wood element, brings to the Rat inspiration, creative expression and positive change/ necessary restraint.

**Speculative elements that make sense structurally.

***Love Elements are the lucky elements that are also harmoniously compatible with a like element a Zodiac animal already has. For example the Ox has the elements Ji, Gui and Xin, the Ox's lucky elements are Jia, Bing, Ren, Geng. Yang Water Ren is counter to Yin Water Gui, making it a love element, and Yang Metal Geng is counter to Yin Metal Xin making that another love element. The peach blossom animals, Rat, Rabbit, Horse, Rooster, and the zodiacs Snake and Pig  already have the yin and yang form of a single element which means these Zodiacs are romantics who fall in love fast and hard.

Comments

  1. I'm confused. The way I understand it, an animal can only be either yin or yang, not potentially either. For example all dragons are yang and all snakes are yin, since using the Chinese calendar all animals are born entirely in an even or odd year as opposed to the Gregorian calendar. Could you explain what I am missing?

  2. It's the idea of each Zodiac sign's "hidden elements".
