Water

Water expresses will and wisdom

With retention at its core it strives for an openness to change

As a traveller longs to collect

Transformed, the child has left the home, the parents can rest, and words of affirmation are expressed

It is about liberation and endings

It fears being trapped by others

Its season is winter, its time is night, and its age is death

Its moral foundations are in purity and sanctity

Attachment and ignorance can taint its goodness

If water wants a course, it must be guided

It is much like a woman

It needs to be free

The one heals

It is felt through fear, bravery, and sound; seen in dark colours, formed as Tetrahedron

Its stern personality is ambitious, adaptive, diplomatic, absorbent and reflective

Its soft personality is encouraging, imaginative, diverse, adventurous and innovative

A traveller earns by displaying, inspires creativity, is strengthened by value and is controlled by distribution.

As it meditates, it moves downward, back, and to the left

On the hand it would be the thumb. Small, round, odd, and more durable than the rest. It is the one closest to our interior

In TCM it has to do with the kidney and endocrine system, and is associated with what is salty

In feng shui it is associated with the colours dark grey through black, and irregular, curved shapes
